Twelve dedicated Fire Fighters represent the men and women of the Saskatchewan Professional Fire Fighters Association (SPFFA) Burn Fund on the 2009 Saskatchewan Professional Fire Fighters Calendar - an annual fundraising project for the provincial Burn Fund.
More than just pretty faces - the 12 firefighters featured on this year's calendar competed against fire fighters from around the province during a grueling selection competition on May 8, 2008 at the Casino Regina Show Lounge.
Since 1974, the Burn Fund has raised more than $6 million dollars. The Saskatchewan Professional Fire Fighters Burn Fund is a registered non-profit organization, dedicated to burn prevention, public education, specialized medical burn training, and survivor support. The fund also supports the upgrade and purchase of specialized equipment for Saskatchewan's two provincial burn units located at the Regina General Hospital and the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon as well as the Hyperbaric Chamber in Moose Jaw.
